Start with a high quality wax, and a soft cotton cloth. Scoop up a small amount of wax (no more than a teaspoon) at a time with your cloth, and apply to the wood. Application is easy, just rub it in. You can apply it in circular motions or with the grain. Once it is applied you should wait about 15 minutes or until the wax has hardened slightly. Now take a clean cotton cloth and buff the wax coat until you obtain a smooth surface and desired sheen. Buffing will remove excess wax, so be sure to refold your cloth when it gets too gummy.

The new layer of wax that you have just applied will take 24 hours to completely harden and start providing protection.
